Jan 13 _ Phases I & II for the Omaha Executive Inn & Suites have been delivered to the client. Work on the property will be starting soon, and we are gearing up to assist the client and construction team to reach the sizeable goal of a complete renovation of a 179-key hotel in a matter of months. Expected completion: Spring 2013.
Nov 12 _ Construction administration (CA) for our Parts Central project hasn’t been without bumps on the road, negotiating between LEED and NPS historic building renovation requirements takes a good amount of logistics. But we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the recent installation of the skylights and west elevation windows. Expected completion: 12.12
14 Nov 12 _ AcV2 was in Mitchell, SD. We are working as a historic preservation consultant for an initiative started by the Mitchell Main Street & Beyond organization. Along with designArc (Brookings, SD), we met with many business owners, officials, and motivated citizens during our first charette. Molly, from Mitchell Main Street & Beyond, is doing a great job leading the revitalization effort.
Oct 12 _ The Board of Trustees of the SD State Historical Society approved the nomination of the Hawkeye Valley Mill to the National Register of Historic Places.
Sep 12 _ We started working with new clients who have an amazingly perfect site in the hills…which they affectionately refer to as Poverty Ridge. We will be designing a smart and sustainable residence, featuring passive heating and cooling.
